Learning how to build a webpage is easier than ever. Whether you want to share family photos, your work, hobby or interests, there are many ways to set up a webpage easily.
Using Microsoft Office Live
Step 1
Go to the Office Live website. Click “Get a Free Website”. A new page will load up. Enter the appropriate information. Enter your email address.
Step 2
Type a new password. Fill in the rest of the form with the correct information. When you are done, click “Save and continue”. Follow the other prompts to get a sub-domain. A personalized domain requires a fee.
Step 3
Click the link that says “Design Your Site”. Numerous default pages will load up.
Step 4
If you want to build a webpage, click “Edit”. Click inside the box to enter new information.
Step 5
To insert pictures, select the free space and choose the “Image” icon. This icon is on the Page Editor menu. Look in your computer for the picture. Load it by clicking the “Insert Image” button.
Step 6
If you want to alter the design, click the “Site Designer” tab. You can change the color, the style and the navigation. Click save when you have made all the changes. Go to “Page Manager” and select “View Site”.
How to Use Weebly
Step 1
Go to the Weebly website and register a new account. Enter a username, password and any other required information.
Step 2
Click the “Start Creating” button. Give the site a name and click “Continue”.
Step 3
Press the mouse and drag an Element onto your webpage. Elements you can add include paragraphs, AdSense and images. If you want to make more changes, click the Design tab and make your modifications.
Step 4
Add more pages by clicking the Pages tab. You can add a biog you want.
Step 5
When you are done, click the “Publish” button. Select a web address from the window that pips up. Click “Continue” to finish the page.
Tips and Warnings
Don’t clutter your webpage. Instead of cramming the page, use links. Give the webpage a consistent look so it will have a professional look. If you are going to write a blog, try to write on a regular basis so interest will be sustained.
