In addition, it is advantageous to learn how to repair an Xbox 360 efficiently.

Procedures

If the problem is related to the 360 red ring of death, then the problem can be fixed easily. To repair the device, you should have four pennies, an electrical tape and four towels. Wrap the pennies in electrical tape. Disassemble the video game console. To do this, you need to get a pen. Use this to push the holes on the gray sides of the device. Tape each penny to the four black chips in the device. Place towels on top of the pennies. Overheat the Xbox to fix the problem.

If two red lights appear on the device, then the problem lies with the heat sink. To solve this, you need a new heat sink. After replacing the sink, do the penny trick and leave the device for 15 minutes. Tighten the screws and the sink to ensure that the device will work properly.

If you encounter the E74 problem, then you need an electrical tape and 12 pennies. Wrap the pennies with the electrical tape. Place the pennies on the CPU chip. Overheat it and check if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, check if the video cables are functioning well. Get replacements for the video cables if these are damaged. Afterwards, use the new video cables and do the penny trick to check if the device is working properly. As a word of caution, it is best to seek help or assistance from professionals as well as electricians when fixing problems associated with the wiring of Xbox 360 to avoid causing further troubles. If the solutions mentioned above do not work, you can bring the device to the nearest service center of Microsoft.
