Procedures

If you want to install the rails in the box, the first step that you should do is to determine the curtains’ weight. Afterwards, you need to know the type of rails that you will use. Consider the materials that are used when making the rails because these can affect the weight that would be assigned in the box.

Remove the screws of the rails and take the measurement of the length of the curtain leaf. The measurement of the curtain leaf should be the same with the size of the pelmet box. If you plan to use two curtains, the measurement of the rails should be half of the box’s length. Do not forget to add ten inches to the measurement. This is very important for the overlaps.

Fix the straight end of the curtain rail to the pelmet’s end. The cobbled part of the rail should be installed at the center of the pelmet. Before you screw the box, it is important that you install the gliders’ stoppers. Afterwards, screw the hunger of the curtain rails into the box. To secure the cobbled parts, you need to install stoppers on the screw.

Uncoated fabrics are also useful in light absorption as well as in heat insulation. If you are interested in improving light absorption in your room, it is best if you use the coated fabric. This fabric can absorb 50 to 70 per cent of light.

To improve the appearance of the room, you can use other accessories for the drapery. Some of the accessories that are very useful include the curtain rods as well as the corded curtain tracks. It is also beneficial to add acorns or cord pulls in the rails.
